Packing Christmas Shoeboxes

PACKING YOUR SHOEBOXES

It’s CHRISTMAS IN JULY! Here are some suggestions to fill your shoeboxes and some reminders about what to do next.

  • Pray for the child who will get your box.
  • Take your shoebox with you to the store so you can be sure items will fit. When people ask what you’re doing, it’s also an opportunity to witness!
  • Attach labels to boxes. Cut out “Boy” or “Girl” and use packing tape to make it stick (regular tape doesn’t stick to the plastic boxes).
  • Include $9 in each box to cover shipping. Cash preferred, or a check made out to Samaritan’s Purse (not the church). Please know that they will not clear the bank for some time.

Items Appropriate for boys and girls of all ages: comb, hairbrush, toothbrush, washcloth, soap, underwear, sunglasses, shirt, markers, pencils with sharpener, pens, blank paper (notebook, index cards)
